With the first night of WrestleMania 38 now in the record books, the return to WWE of Cody Rhodes, the return to action of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, and a big Raw Women's Title win for Bianca Belair are the biggest talking points of Night 1. But away from those stories, one other person particularly in the spotlight is Logan Paul.

At 'Mania 38's first leg, Paul teamed with The Miz in a tag team victory over Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Post-match, Miz turned on his partner and laid him out with the Skull Crushing Finale, but Logan had done more than enough to win over so many of the doubters during this 12-minute tag contest.

While some lambasted WWE for the celebrity involvement of Logan Paul and Johnny Knoxville in this year's Showcase of the Immortals, Paul more than held up his side of the bargain last night. Trained by Shane Helms and Adam Pearce, and utilising the athleticism of his background in boxing and amateur wrestling, the 27-year-old social media star exceeded all expectations in his very first pro wrestling match.

To give an idea of the universal praise being showered on Paul, Reddit features an entire thread dedicated to how impressive the Ohio native was.

As an example, TheKnight42420 labelled Paul's take on the Three Amigos trio of suplexes as his favourite part of the entire match, while EccentricMeat gave Logan's pre-Frog Splash mocking of Eddie Guerrero a 10/10. Elsewhere, not_simonH said Paul was "the biggest heel on the entire card", and Tronz413 declared this performance as "f**king masterclass heel work".

RevTarthpeigust likely summed up the thoughts of many wrestling fans, explaining how he told his wife "I hate how good he is at this".

Given how things were left following The Miz's attack on him, it seems certain that WWE clearly has plans to bring Logan Paul back to the squared circle at some point down the line. And if he was this good in his very first match, there's major potential there should Paul wish to try his hand more often in Vince McMahon's world of sports entertainment.
