4. William Regal Backstabs The WWF (October 8, 2001)
With each passing week, it was becoming harder for the WWF to paper over the cracks in the WCW/ECW crew. Vince McMahon's fears had been correct, the group simply didn't have the star power that fans demanded. To alleviate this slightly, William Regal turned his back on the WWF, causing Kurt Angle to lose the WWF Title back to Steve Austin on October 8. It was just another turn in a never-ending series of them.
