WWE: 10 Best Debut Vignettes Ever

1. Sean O'Haire

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84fAEmrTWmU From the moment that Sean O'Haire joined the main WCW roster, he looked like a star. He was six foot six with incredible athletic ability, and a mean looking swanton bomb as a finisher. Of course, he wasn't used very well in WCW, and he was still very green. When the WWF bought its old rivals, they wisely picked up his contract. However, it didn't start off so well for him, as along with Chuck Palumbo, he was crushed in his first pay-per-view match with the APA. His next big match saw him job to The Undertaker and Kane losing his tag team gold. O'Haire soon disappeared, and was sent back to developmental. Would we ever hear from him again? Well, on SmackDown we began to see some new vignettes that showed us a promising return. Sean began to tell us to not pay our taxes, to cheat on our spouses and that religion was a scam. His black suit gave him a stark contrast to the all-white background which appeared to symbolize the angel and devil in all of us. And whose side was he really on? The promos were cutting edge, and the character looked to have loads of potential. If WWE didn't screw this up, they could have a top star on its hand. But yep, they screwed it up. After a few short weeks of doing ridiculous acts like convincing Brian Kendrik to run around naked and Dawn Marie to go topless, he joined up with Roddy Piper. The character was pretty much dropped, and O'Haire was gone within a year. Still, Sean O'Haire can lay claim to having the best pre-debut vignette in WWE history...but I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
