WWE: 10 Best Elimination Chamber Matches

1. Survivor Series 2002

Shawn Michaels defeated Triple H, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Kane and Booker T to win the World Heavyweight Championship http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOJaJPwxrDM There€™s nothing quite like the original. The setting was perfect: Madison Square Garden. The combatants were the top six men on Raw. It was going to be only Shawn Michaels€™s second match in four years in a structure that nobody was quite sure what to make of. But if anybody can put on a show and set the bar for a new type of specialty match (Ladder, Hell in a Cell, etc.), it was Shawn Michaels. Frankly I don€™t think this match would be so high on this list or as memorable if Triple H successfully defended the championship. But the fact that Shawn did win the belt after four years away is what makes this one of the most memorable matches of all time, and an easy headliner for this list. Triple H, to his credit, wrestled most of the match with a crushed larynx after RVD hit him with a frog splash from the top of the cage. The entire match, he was having trouble breathing, and yet he still managed to go through the finishing sequence with HBK and not miss a beat. So where will this year€™s Chamber match fall on this list? The competitors look to be a solid lineup, and I€™m pleased with the inclusion of Antonio Cesaro and Christian, two great workers who are underappreciated. I€™m looking forward to seeing the Pay Per View, and hopefully it will be better than the Rumble, although that€™s not really going to be a hard feat to top.
