http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jk9SBjojNNc As I watch back the history of the Royal Rumble and my families participation in the event, I harken back to 2000 and recall Davey Boy's brief run in 1999-2000. Although its been publicly stated many times, it can't be understated enough what a miracle it was for Davey to be able to compete again. He had broken his back in WCW and most doctors had said his career was over. The fact that Davey was not only able to overcome the physical challenges of a broken back, he also was able to overcome some serious addictions that would later cost him his life. Although Davey's run in WWE during 1999-2000 is widely considered the worst work of his career, I choose to look back at it as a time of celebration and remembering all that he overcame.
