WWE: 10 Best Moments At Madison Square Garden

7. The First Elimination Chamber

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9FIPfdHiJs In late 2002, Triple H had been awarded the World Heavyweight Championship just after the Brand split, and had been feuding with the likes of Kane, Rob Van Dam and Shawn Michaels in the run up to Survivor Series. There had been some memorable matches, including a fantastic Street Fight against Michaels at Summerslam, but Bischoff decreed that all feuding would end inside the Elimination Chamber where Triple H would take on all three, as well as Booker T and Chris Jericho. The match had some excellent spots, including people being thrown through chamber pods and Rob Van Dam hitting a Five Star Frog Splash from the top of a pod, starting a tradition of high dives that continues to this day. In the end, Michaels ended up the victor, and the image of him holding the belt aloft as confetti rained down from the ceiling is a lasting one. This match is significant for two reasons... Not only was it the first Elimination Chamber, but it was the last time Shawn Michaels would ever win the World Heavyweight Title.
