You had two of the best workers ever battling it out in their prime on the biggest stage of them all. Michaels was so good that he actually had you believing he would end the streak, he looked to have got the win at several points only for Undertaker to kick out. That level of unpredictability wasn't as prevalent in the match a year later, so this first contest has to be seen as the superior effort. The dynamic chemistry that the men shared was what really contributed to it being memorable. The different body dimensions worked well, Shawn able to bump around for Taker and sell the action in a way that made us really root for the Heartbreak Kid. The bigger Taker meanwhile looked the best he ever has, really benefiting from HBK's expert selling and bumping ability. Throw in the range of counters, reversals, near falls and kick outs of finishers and you had the most edge of your seat WrestleMania match of all time. The big spots were done well and the subtler points were carried out with finesse too. It wasn't just the best match of the last ten years, it was the best match ever. In looking back at this list we can also safely say that Shawn Michaels is the best WWE wrestler of the last 10 years. He featured in six of these matches, which says it all about how great the star really was.
