The Hollys are easily one of the most underrated groups of the entire Attitude Era. Hardcore Holly was an established singles star as the fall of 1999 approached, having rejuvenated his career in the hardcore division of WWE. When his cousin Crash debuted, they formed a tag team and captured the WWE Tag Team Championships. Hardcore was the hard-nosed veteran tough guy who found glee in beating people up. Crash was like a chihuahua, always running his mouth as opposed to putting up a legitimate fight. Hardcore and Crash would partner for many tag team victories but would also feud over the Hardcore Championship. In the fall of 2000, the male Superstars were joined in WWE by their female cousin Molly. The talented female competitor brought a grace and dignity to the group. She was innocent and likable and added a new element to the act. Together, they proved to be a solid addition to the WWE midcard. Unfortunately, the Invasion angle in the summer of 2001 cut the legs out from underneath the trio just as it was in the midst of a very interesting story also involving the Dudley Boyz. Molly would go on to become sidekick to The Hurricane before becoming one of the best and most respected female wrestlers in the industry. Hardcore Holly is one of the longest-tenured Superstars in WWE history and Crash was a very suitable lower card worker for the company until his release in 2003. He would unexpectedly pass away on November 6, 2003.
