Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty made up the team of Too Cool, a duo of white boys who thought they were well-versed in hip-hop. They would awkwardly dance to the ring and, despite being an over pair of villains, they were largely considered a one-trick comedy act. Then, in late-1999, the massive Rikishi Phatu was added to their act and one of the most popular and beloved midcard acts in WWE history was born. Too Cool and Rikishi thrilled WWE audiences across the country with their energetic ring performances, then capped the night off by dancing to a loud pop from the fans. It was big man Rikishi's ability to bust a move that captivated audiences and made him the standout star of the trio but without Hotty and Sexay, he never would have had the opportunity to enjoy the success he did upon his return to the company. Rikishi would be revealed as the culprit behind the Steve Austin hit-and-run and would turn heel as a result, effectively breaking up his partnership with his friends. Grandmaster Sexay's release from the company in 2001 would leave Scotty on his own. After suffering a neck injury, he would go on to become a long-tenured member of the WWE roster.
