WWE: 10 Biggest Holy Sh*t Moments

1. Mankind Goes Flying Off The Cell And Through The Cell (June 28, 1998)

"Good God almighty! Good God almighty! That killed him!" - Jim Ross Thankfully it didn't kill him, JR. But I don't think any of us can blame you for thinking that way. When Mick Foley found out he had to wrestle Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell at King of the Ring 1998, his goal was to top what Shawn Michaels did in the first HIAC match in 1997. If you'll recall, Michaels was on the side of the cage when Undertaker knocked him off and Michaels went crashing into the announce table. Foley, in his mind, thought he had to top that. So he did. Was it smart? No. Were people in WWE happy that Foley did it? Probably not. Did Mick Foley become a bigger star after that move? Yes he did. It may not have been worth it to Mick from a physical point of view, but in terms of creating a memory that will last forever he and The Undertaker did just that. It was an unforgettable move. Undertaker chased Mankind on top of the cell, he sent him near the edge of the ominous cage and he threw him down so that Mankind's shoulder hit first as he went crashing through the announce table. They replayed it over and over that night. Then the next night. It was repeated many times during that era. The match could have ended there, but it didn't. Foley went back up the cage one more time. Undertaker followed again. After a Chokeslam from Undertaker, Foley went crashing through the top the cage and landed with a thud inside of the ring. A steel chair didn't really help the fall either.
What's amazing is that Foley went on to finish the match even though there were two moments where he should have just stayed down. As mentioned, this match made Foley a bigger star. It also gave us the biggest "holy sh*t" moment ever that will likely never be topped.
