4. Headlining WrestleMania
Being in the final match at the biggest wrestling pay-per-view in history is something special, it's a moment that every wrestler dreams of but that very few can attain. It's something that Punk's peers at the top level have all done, Cena, Orton, Batista, Triple H, it's something that will beef up your career immeasurably. So why has Punk never gotten the same treatment? If it's to do with his box office appeal then how come people like Benoit, Michaels and Hart have done it? Unless my facts are wrong they are among the lowest-drawing world champions in history. There was speculation that the main event for WrestleMania 29 would be a triple threat match between John Cena, The Rock and CM Punk, but this never came to be. Instead there was a rematch between Rock and Cena which received a mixed response and a match between Punk and The Undertaker that was praised as one of the best matches of the year. Punk has proven that he can deliver an epic match at Mania and doesn't let the pressure of the big stage get to him. Now he might become one of the most successful superstars of all-time to never headline WrestleMania.
