WWE: 10 Biggest Things Creative Did That The Fans Didn't Want

3. Donald Trump In The Hall Of Fame

The inclusion of Donald Trump in the WWE Hall of Fame 2013 class was met with an angry response from wrestling fans. How can we take seriously a Hall of Fame that features Donald Trump but not Randy Savage? The advantage of Trump going in was that it secured WWE some mainstream media coverage. In fairness to Trump, he also played a pivotal role in early Wrestlemanias as well as the top drawing McMahon vs Trump angle a few years back. Still, WWE did this purely as a PR stunt, with Vince McMahon himself inducting the business icon. Fan outrage was scathing. Mick Foley couldn't resist a few digs either, especially when he discovered Trump would be booked ahead of him. Foley ended up going into a meltdown on social media, with WWE officials having to change arrangement plans in order to appease the former Mankind. On the actual night a chorus of boos rained down on Trump's acceptance speech. The fans didn't want Trump, but Vince McMahon did.
