This is one of those stories that sounds too good to be true, but knowing the Nature Boy and the Funker, chances are that the incident indeed happened. Back when Ric Flair was still stylin and profilin, he was known for his women and alcohol. This story supposedly happened in his house, when his first wife went out to meet some of her friends. As the story goes, Flair apparently called Terry Funk and asked if he wanted to have a drink at his place. Funker said yes and soon, they were downing bottles. This is where the story gets interesting apparently, Funk tried to have fun with Ric Flairs mutt, but that was when things turned ugly. The dog bit Terry Funk on his nose and ran away, and Funker started chasing the canine. When Mrs. Flair returned with her friends, she found her husband on the floor, sleeping in his own puke. Terry Funk meanwhile was chasing the dog, crawling in the backyard with a kitchen knife in his mouth, all the while cursing like a drunken sailor! Flairs wife introduced both of them as, Thats my husband on the floor, and thats Terry Funk, the world champion, naked in the backyard.
