WWE: 10 Bloodiest WrestleMania Matches Ever

4. Hulk Hogan vs. Mr McMahon - WrestleMania XIX

Two men so closely linked to both each other and to WrestleMania itself. Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan. Hogan was of course WWE's poster boy in the 80's and early 90's, with him and McMahon enjoying a good working relationship as the two worked to help launch WrestleMania into the success it would become. That would all change as Hogan would betray McMahon not once, but twice in 1994. In 1994 Hogan testified against McMahon in legal proceedings about steroids (although his evidence would ultimately help McMahon avoid prosecution) and later that year jumped ship to rival company WCW. Hogan's time in WCW, specifically his shocking heel turn to form the nWo, would almost run McMahon's WWE out of business. Needless to say their relationship was not a smooth one, but one thing that the two men could see eye to eye on was making money. And with Hogan back in the WWE fold, what better way to make money than to capitalise on their public issues and face off at WrestleMania in a match billed '20 years in the making'? Whilst the roles were reversed and McMahon was portrayed as the villain of the relationship, this rivalry was huge with crowds. So at WrestleMania XIX the two met in a Street Fight. As expected, the actual wrestler Hogan took the early advantage and busted McMahon open but that would be far from the end of it as the devious boss would take control and dominate a fair portion of the match before Hogan would overcome both him and the returning Roddy Piper to best the man who made him a household name. The most iconic image of the entire contest came from the bloodied Mr McMahon slowly rising from under the ring apron like Satan himself with a sickening smirk. Hogan would also bleed to further the idea of the war between the two old foes but nothing from the contest could come close to being as memorable as McMahon's evil rise.
