WWE: 10 Booking Steps To John Cena Turning Heel On Daniel Bryan

8. The Big SummerSlam Rematch

The night after Battleground, Triple H would be furious at Cena's dissension, leading to a major promo angle on Raw. "After everything this company has done for you John, you repay us like this? You could have been here in the Authority but you choose to stand with someone who didn't hesitate to walk all over you last year at SummerSlam... did you forget he pinned you? "Well here's the thing John, if you won't choose to take out Daniel Bryan, we'll force you to take out Daniel Bryan... at SummerSlam it will be the biggest rematch in the history of the event... John Cena vs Daniel Bryan 2 for the WWE Championship!" This wouldn't be a briefcase cash-in but an actual title match granted to Cena by Triple H trying to force a heel turn. It would facilitate yet another character conflict for Cena, he wants the WWE Championship, but he doesn't want to be a pawn of the Authority. The match would be sold on the fact that Cena is battling with his inner conciousness, the heel turn hook being used yet again to sell a PPV. As for Bryan, the one on one match would represent his biggest battle of the year, it's a rematch which will do big business for SummerSlam. The finish goes down as the opposite of Austin and Rock at Mania 17. Bryan and Cena contest an epic SummerSlam main event before Triple H runs to the ring with a chair. Cena looks at The Game and thinks about it, before refusing, and turning straight into Bryan's running knee. The Champion decks Hunter out of the ring and covers Cena for the three.
