WWE: 10 Booking Steps To John Cena Turning Heel On Daniel Bryan

7. "I Will Never Turn On The Fans"

The next night on Raw, everyone will want to hear from Cena, everyone will be curious as to his state of mind. Coming out to start the show he will cut a promo which will be key to the long term nature of his heel turn. "I'll never turn on the fans," he will state, "I'm John Cena, my moral code is my identity, last night Daniel Bryan was the better man." Cena will then point out he stayed true to himself previously against Wyatt and then Bryan, repeating the line, "I'll never turn on the fans." That phrase will then run and run over the next seven months to Mania. It will become his catchphrase, resulting in his eventual turn having more impact. However, technically, he will argue afterwards he kept to his word and belief. He never turned on the fans - they turned on him. For now though Cena's turn remains far off. He ends his promo by pointing out he is still Mr Money In The Bank and one day he will overcome the challenge Daniel Bryan represents.
