10. Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon (SummerSlam 1995)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meARYZIsJuE When a list of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time is brought up, you can be sure that this match is somewhere on that list. In this match, which took place at WrestleMania 10, you had Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon, two amazing wrestlers who were in the prime of their careers. A regular match between the two of them would have been great on its own, but when a ladder is thrown into the mix, it creates an entire highlight reel of non-stop actions and suspense from beginning to end. This was the match that influenced a number of current generation wrestlers back when they were just kids watching the shows on television. It was also the match that supported the idea of promoting more ladder matches and expanding to bigger and better match types in the years to come. These two men put everything they had into the match, and that create awestruck moment after awestruck moment that made the fans go nuts. They were performing moves and feats that had never been seen in as big an event as WrestleMania before. The match was so highly praised that a rematch was naturally going to occur. WWE wanted lightning to strike twice, and they hoped that could manage to achieve this at SummerSlam 1995. While the match is well received, it doesn't quite live up to the already high expectations that their first match delivered. Maybe it was because the match went on ten minutes longer than it should have, maybe it was because it had too many moments where the pacing slowed to a crawl, or maybe it was the botched title grab from Michaels at the very end. Whatever the case may be, the SummerSlam encounter quietly shut the door on a potential three-peat between two of the greats.
