The most fascinating backstage fact about Sting is undoubtedly the fact he never stepped foot in the locker room of the WWF. Whenever Borden is hanging out with another major star, his peer has at some point usually done business with Vince McMahon. Even close friend Eric Bischoff ended up appearing in the WWE. Borden is the exception. The only legitimately major North American pro wrestler to never work in WWE. It's a fascinating achievement when you think about it, to achieve such a legacy without ever working in the main company from the last thirty years. In some ways it almost makes it slightly sad that Borden will eventually work in WWE this year, but the inevitable will finally happen, Sting will debut in the WWE in 2014. It will be interesting to see what this final chapter holds for the Icon of WCW. The WWE run will surely augment his legacy, perhaps even leading to a WWE Championship win. Vince McMahon has long desired the veteran wrestler for his roster, ever since failing to sign him in 2001. Let's just hope that Sting hasn't left this move too late, let's hope his WWE debut will actually mean something more than a nostalgic round of applause.
