WWE: 10 Great Ideas For Raw The Night After WrestleMania 30
4. A Major Match Is Announced For WrestleMania XXXI
A year before the record-setting WrestleMania XXVII, WWE did something unprecedented they announced the main event of the show on Monday Night Raw. Rock versus Cena, this era's ultimate dream match, was set in stone 363 days before it happened, and WWE could spend the year building up to it (and allotting TV time for other matches on the card to develop more organically). Despite the success of the tactic (and despite rumors that WWE would repeat it the following year), we haven't seen it tried again. This year seems like a great time to go back to that well but what to announce? An obvious choice seems to be Brock Lesnar versus The Rock, a match once penciled in for WrestleMania XXX but postponed due to The Rock's schedule (and injuries suffered at last year's show). Considering that neither man works a full schedule for WWE throughout the year, the ability to drag out the build would come in handy. A dark horse candidate? John Cena versus The Undertaker. The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak gets more impressive every year, but Cena, the biggest star of this generation, is a glaring omission. Plus, both men are renowned for their delivery in big matches there's no reason to think that this one wouldn't be a classic.
