WWE: 10 Greatest Cruiserwieghts Of All Time

4. Eddie Guerrero

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-lw9LXiUZc Another cruiserweight who grew out of this division and into a huge star. Eddie Guerrero left too soon. Way too soon. But he left a lasting impact on the sport and influenced many. Like many of the other smaller wrestlers working in WCW during the Monday Night Wars, Guerrero felt he wasn't as appreciated as some of the bigger names within the company. Despite putting on great matches and developing the foundation for which he would later base his Latino Heat persona on, Guerrero still wasn't getting much love from Eric Bischoff. Whatever Guerrero was handed he was able to make it work, as he proved that not only in WCW, but in the WWE as well. Just look at how good of a job he did pretending to like Chyna on national television. The guy was committed to the art form. It wasn't until a little after the Attitude Era had fizzled out that Guerrero became a main event star. It was during this time that Guerrero showed he had what it took to hang with the top guys, having had a brief but great match against The Rock on an episode of Raw, in which he performed one of the best counters to the Rock Bottom ever. Having finished carrying Chavo through most of Chavo's career, Guerrero was finally able to focus on bigger and better things: The WWE Championship. Not only did Guerrero defeat Brock Lesnar for the title, but he also defended it against Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 20. He even made JBL look like he belonged in the WWE Title picture. Without Guerrero, JBL's title run would have been easily forgetful. Sadly, Guerrero passed away before he could continue lying, cheating and stealing at the top of the WWE card.
