3. The Legion of Doom (1990-1998)

Hawk and Animal enjoyed the same level of success in WWE that they did everywhere else, they dominated and ruled the tag team division imperiously though personal demons would stop them reaching their full potential on many occassions. Their straight ahead, take no prisoners style was not always easy on the eye but it was always effective in getting the crowd on their feet. Personal issues prevented them achieving any real longevity with WWE but when they were firing on all cylinders no one could hang with them. Easily the most intimidating and downright vicious team ever to grace a WWE ring the Legion of Doom also managed many stand out clashes with Money Inc, the New Age Outlaws and also a wild brawl with the Nation of Domination at Wrestlemania 13. They succeeded in bringing out a higher level of performance from the Godwinns than anyone thought possible and even carried the Nasty Boys to a thrilling brawl at Summerslam 91.The end of of their run with WWE in 1998 may not have been quite the send off a team of their stature deserved but ultimately it has not harmed their legacy one bit. The Legion of Doom are still thought of as the toughest, meanest tag team ever and i believe they always will be.
