WWE: 10 Greatest Tag Teams Of All Time

4. The Dudley Boys (1999- 2004)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xd_ZdqfiV8 The illegitimate offspring of Big Daddy Dudley were probably the least likely tag team ever to make it big but as we sit here in 2013 Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley are the most decorated and successful tag team ever. Essentially a straight ahead brawling tandem with a penchant for destroying tables and riling up audiences not much was expected from the Dudleys when they debuted in 1999. A solid if not very memorable feud with the APA introduced a couple of decent workers who could put a match together but again, didn't look like much at the time. This was soon to change when The Dudleys embarked upon a feud with the popular Hardy Boys and blew audiences away with an intense, unforgettable tables match at Royal Rumble 2000. From there Bubba and D-Von never looked back winning tag team gold from the New Age Outlaws and embarking on an incredible three way feud with the Hardys and Edge and Christian which included three incredible pay per view matches featuring tables, ladders, chairs and all manner of show stealing chaos. The Dudleys were not finished though and embarked upon an incredible 2001 run which saw them rack up 10 pay per view wins in a single year, a record that will probably never be broken. During that year they also participated in countless superb contests including a steel cage scrap with the Hardys and the amazing TLC effort at Wrestlemania 17, as well as unifying the WCW and WWE tag titles, taking a lead role in the Invasion storyline and headlining the Invasion pay per view which was one of highest grossing pay per views of the year. They excelled at being both beloved babyfaces and despicable heels whilst displaying incredible work ethic and taking all manner of severe bumps in the process. The Dudleys proved that hard work and determination can not only take you to the top of the mountain, it can keep you there as well.
