WWE: 10 Most Inappropriate Stipulation Matches Ever

9. Casket Match

The Casket Match is almost exclusively linked to Undertaker as it played up the character's gimmick and provided WWE with several storytelling options. In the mid-to-late 2000s, however, real life wrestler deaths became one of the most controversial and talked about aspects of the business. It was not uncommon to fire up the Internet and read about the latest passing of a once-great performer. The deaths of Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit crushed the industry and led to some very unfavorable media coverage. The passing of Test, Lance Cade and Umaga only made things worse. Suddenly, the imagery of wrestlers being stuffed into caskets became unsettling. A match that was born of innocence and was merely a fun and rare attraction took on a new symbolism. The Casket match has not been seen on WWE television since Survivor Series 2008, when Undertaker defeated Big Show. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1wnr6p_wwf-undertaker-vs-yokozuna-in-casket-match-with-special-referee-chucknorris-survivor-series-1994_sport Considering that the Phenom is not longer a full-time member of the roster and may very well have wrestled his final match this past April at WrestleMania XXX, perhaps it should stay that way.
