WWE: 10 Incredible Money In The Bank Ladder Match Spots
9. The Superplex To Ric Flair (2006)
Ric Flair, arguably the greatest and most legendary figure in professional wrestling, has been in literally thousands of matches over the years, yet only a handful have ever been a ladder match. It was a rare occasion indeed to see Flair take part in what was only the second ever Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 22. While Flair was past his peak years, and the road to retirement was far more visible than ever before, Nature Boy still held his own during the match and took many bumps and beatings. One of the biggest bumps he took during the match was undoubtedly the superplex he received from Matt Hardy off the top of the ladder. A superplex off a ladder might not sound like such a big deal compared to many of these other moments, but when you consider that the man on the receiving end was 57 when he took that bump, plus he had little experience in being a part of a regular ladder match never mind a Money in the Bank ladder match, it turns out to be one of the more impressive showings that a wrestler can give. Even more amazing is the fact that Flair was able to not only come back and continue to work the match, but he also took yet another bump off the ladder shortly after thanks to Finlay. While Rob Van Dam may have won the match, Ric Flair won the hearts of the fans with his courageous effort to entertain the masses.
