Too often in wrestling we see the same gimmicks recycled. Somebody might do something that worked 20 years earlier, so you'll see a guy in the current scene doing the same thing. Alberto Del Rio's gimmick is a knockoff of JBL, which was a knockoff of Ted Dibiase. Take Steve Austin for example. How many times have we seen heels in power trying to prevent a babyface rising up against authority? It happens all the time. They will always look for the next Stone Cold because he made so much money when the angle was at its peak 15 years ago. When Ric Flair was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008 he had high praise for Undertaker. Keep in mind that Flair's a guy that worked as long as anybody and saw everybody in the business. He spoke about working with him at WrestleMania 18. "There will never be another character like Undertaker. He is as responsible as anyone for the company's tremendous success for the past 20 years." - Ric Flair Flair is right. When it comes to The Undertaker, there will never be another character like him. He was almost like a mythical character in the sense that he did things that were so over the top that you couldn't believe what you were seeing. He had supernatural powers, but then when the bell rang he looked human and we had respect for him because he earned it. We don't know if Undertaker will ever wrestle again. What we do know is that when you look at his complete body of work and not just his 21-1 WrestleMania record, he is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. More than anything else, his status as one of the best professional wrestlers ever is truly his lasting legacy.
