2. Bruiser Brody vs Jose Huertas Gonzalez
A fight that robbed the industry of a true great. Bruiser Brody was a talented big man and still had a great career ahead of him. He died at the hands of Jose Huertas Gonzalez at a show in Puerto Rico in 1988. Brody was notorious for refusing to do any jobs. This supposedly is why Gonzalez was so infuriated with the top drawing star. They met backstage in the shower room to talk business, and as Brody entered the shower room he was stabbed multiple times in the chest and stomach. He would later die in surgery. Gonzalez claimed he was defending himself, and controversially would go on to promote many more shows. The knife was never recovered and it remains as one of the darkest incidents in the history of wrestling.
