WWE: 10 Men Most Likely To End Daniel Bryan's Title Reign

7. CM Punk

In terms of likelihood, this one is a coin flip. If Punk doesn't return before July when his contract expires, it's not going to happen. If he does, it's practically a lock. Punk walked out on the job after the Royal Rumble in January. To date, we still don't know precisely why, and both Punk and WWE have remained silent on the matter. Fans have tried their hardest to read between the lines and spot the behind the scenes working for clues. His merch is still on sale on WWEshop, but his face is being removed or covered from posters of previous events and he goes unmentioned on television, save for one exception in Chicago, when they pretty much had no choice. Although a lot of fans DO want Punk back, many feel angry and betrayed by him. If Punk DOES return then, he's savvy enough to capitalise on these negative feelings and re-enter the company as a heel. This is good news for fans, as Punk has always been a better heel than a face. On top of that, any time you have a Punk vs Bryan feud, it's a guaranteed draw. Make it the main event and throw the WWE World Heavyweight Title in the picture, and you have an IWC wet dream. However, this is all depending on Punk returning, and for all the cries of "it's a work!", it's gone on for so long, and quite frankly no one reading this knows for sure, and if anybody does, they're keeping quiet. One way or the other, we'll know in a few months.
