WWE: 10 Men Most Likely To End Daniel Bryan's Title Reign

4. Someone From The Shield

BeFunky_theshield Forget what's going on right now with The Shield vs Evolution, guys. We need to think in the long term here. The Shield is going to break up. When it does, one or all of them is going to be gunning for Bryan. In late 2013, it seemed apparent that the breakup of the Hounds Of Justice was imminent. Dissension in the ranks was constantly teased, and during the Royal Rumble match, it seemed like we got the clincher when Dean Ambrose tried to eliminate Roman Reigns, who responded by throwing both him and Rollins out. The Shield had laid hands on each other, and it seemed we had only to wait until the next night on Raw for the confirmation. But the breakup never happened. Why? Personally, I blame Batista. When WWE had Batista win the Royal Rumble, it backfired on them in a big way. He was booed clean out of the building, and now WWE found themselves with legions of pissed off fans and a Wrestlemania main event that nobody wanted to see. So damage control was the order of the day, and to placate fans in the short term, they gave us The Shield vs The Wyatt Family at Elimination Chamber, which they had teased us with months earlier. After that, someone noticed that The Shield were consistently having the best matches, so they pushed the breakup back for a while so that they could ride the gravy train a little bit longer. While The Shield is an awesome stable, all three men can be great in their own right, and at some point before Summerslam, it's likely that they will break up. Possibly one or all three will enter the MITB match in June, and one will win, and the break up will come as a result of that. That would leave one Shield member holding a briefcase, guaranteeing them a title shot within a year. So now is the time to take your bets as to which Shield member would be coming after Bryan's championship. Personally, I like to think it'd be Dean Ambrose. For all the good points of Seth and Roman, Ambrose is a better solo heel than either of them, and would make a very fresh face for Bryan to feud with.
