WWE: 10 Moments When Triple H's Ego Has Damaged Other Wrestlers

1. Booker T

The match between Triple H and Booker T at WrestleMania XIX only had one possible outcome, or at least, that's what we thought. The build up to this match mostly consisted of Triple H shooting off on a mic about how Booker T was beneath him; it was a true underdog story that was only supposed to go one way; a win for Booker T and therefore truly launching Booker T as a powerful force. Booker T pinned The Game in the build up to WrestleMania, but who cares, he needed to win on the grandest stage of them all, that is what the storyline seemed to be edging towards. Not to mention the angle had racist connotations, in one particular confrontation Triple H tells Booker that somebody like him doesn't get to be a world champion, with extra emphasis on the word 'you' as he looks him up and down with disgust, and even goes on to make reference to his 'nappy hair'. Naturally, the racist character should go on to pick up the win at WrestleMania. The aftermath was that Booker T would drift into mid-card obscurity, until finally finding a new gimmick in King Booker a few years later, who Triple H would come back to beat on his return from injury.
