Legacy consisted of leader Randy Orton and the rookies Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. For over a year we saw Randy Orton rise to being one of the top stars in WWE while Rhodes and DiBiase were being groomed for the future. DiBiase did not end up staying with WWE, but Rhodes has definitely seen success as a tag team champion and IC champion since Legacy broke up. This was a group of three very talented young Superstars, one of whom had already made a name for himself as one of WWE's most consistent workers. All of them were from wrestling families, hence the name Legacy, but they proved why they belonged in WWE by delivering great heel performances and solid wrestling matches. Their feud with the McMahon family really pushed the group as top heels, especially the RKO Orton delivered to Stephanie at No Way Out after his match with Shane McMahon.
