WWE: 10 Questions You Most Want Answered (April 19)
7. Future Of WWE Network
From @lukewillock2: Where do you see the WWE Network going in the future and what new stuff do you think they could add to it for the future?
What will be key is live and unique content. Right now they have things like Main Event that's an exclusive and they have some great documentaries once in a while too. Obviously the PPVs, which are now known as Special Events, are very important and it's good to know that WrestleMania 30 held up well in terms of the streaming quality. They need to add older television shows, especially deeper archives for Raw, Smackdown, Nitro and Thunder. Right now they have the PPVs, but if people wanted to watch the TV shows they can't get a complete rundown of them. Older TV shows wouldn't be a bad thing either, but it's those ones from 1990s WWE & WCW that will be key. Another thing that needs to happen is WWE Network has to be available in countries like Canada (where I live), the United Kingdom and Australia along with other places around the world. Right now it's a USA only thing. We could get it in other countries using illegal means, but that's not something WWE encourages obviously. Hopefully by the end of this year it can be in other countries. If not this year, then early next year at the latest. Fans need to be patient. The WWE Network isn't even two months old right now. It's going to be way better in six months and even better in a year. They will try things that won't work while others will be great. For $10 per month it's a great value and those that have it are enjoying it.
