WWE: 10 Questions You Most Want Answered (July 26)
8. Changing A Wrestler From Heel To Face
From @JR_O6: Do you think it's right to change a heel to a face because of fan reaction when the heel is better suited as a heel?
Sometimes it is right, other times it's not. Sorry for the answer that isn't that definitive, but it all depends on the character. Some of the biggest names ever started out as heels that weren't necessarily intended to be babyfaces when they were developing as heels. That was the case for Steve Austin, The Rock and John Cena just to name a few; we might e think of them as faces more than anything, but all were heels. And the fan reaction was the reason. As a hell Bray Wyatt is getting cheered once in a while, so maybe he'll turn face because of it, but that would probably hurt his character because he's more of a heel character and if he went face it would probably hurt him. The big reason heels get cheered is because they have more character depth than the babyfaces, who can often be considered boring.
