WWE: 10 Questions You Most Want Answered (June 14)
6. The Impact Of Shawn Michaels During Attitude Era
From @jcsanchez316: If Shawn Michaels didn't miss 4 years of his career what impact would he had from 98-02?
He would have had a huge impact. He's arguably the best wrestler of all time and that's without those four years in his early 30s that he would have had. Maybe if he wrestled those four years he wouldn't have lasted until 2010 although we have no idea about that. There was a lot of talent in WWE during that period that Michaels could have worked with whether he was a face or a heel. He was too good not to have a major impact on things. With all of that said, he wasn't in the right place mentally when he got injured in 1998 and even for the next three years he was still using painkillers too much. It was in 2001 when his wife Rebecca really got through to him, which led to him becoming a Born Again Christian and he leaved a clean life after that. It's weird to say it, but maybe that time off was a blessing in disguise because it allowed him to grow as a man in a way that he may not have been able to if he was still on the road in WWE.
