The best way is definitely by doing the heel turn or the babyface turn. No question about it. Any great team should break up and feud with one another because if you spend all that time with those two guys together then they will build up chemistry as a unit. Fans love seeing former partners go at it. It can lead to some great matches. There are times when partners just stop teaming together for whatever reason. That's a bit disappointing, but it happens. There's no better tag team split than Michaels on Jannetty. It may never be topped. It was absolutely perfect in every way. They even had some great matches in 1993 to follow up on it although obviously Michaels went on to be a much bigger star than Jannetty.
