From @david_dierking: Will Wade Barrett's current IC title run end up being better than his last one?
While I would love to say yes right off the bat, it's hard to know what WWE has planned for him, who he might feud with and how long he's going to hold the title. A better reign than his other ones is something we should hope for. Barrett's first IC Title reign back in 2011 was pretty uneventful and he ended up dropping the title to former Corre teammate Ezekiel Jackson, who most people probably forget was ever IC Champion. If you subtract the one day that Miz held it in 2013, he actually had it for 168 days before Curtis Axel won it in a triple threat match. That reign was last year, yet I barely remember it. The only thing that comes to mind is he wrestled against The Miz way too often during that period. It was pretty boring. Any time somebody wins a championship we want to see that person have a really long full of exciting title defenses, but it's not always the case. What Barrett needs more than anything is a babyface to feud with for a couple of months. He needs to be booked like a smart heel that finds ways to escape with the gold every time. That way when somebody beats him it will mean something. That's always the goal for any title change.
