3. Keeping The Shield Together This Summer

From @Scarby_Darbs: Is there any way The Shield make it through summer still together?
A few months ago I would have said now, but now I think they will be together through the summer. It's a need thing, plus they seem to be better in that role. If CM Punk didn't leave and if Daniel Bryan didn't get hurt then maybe they would Rollins & Ambrose would turn heel, but right now they are definitely needed on the babyface side. Look at the European house shows that have just wrapped up after a grueling 12 days in a row. One of the crews was main evented by John Cena, Bray Wyatt and others. The other set of wrestlers saw Roman Reigns main eventing against Randy Orton. It's a great way for Reigns to work with a top guy that has a lot of experience. Rollins & Ambrose wrestled in tag matches earlier in the show. If The Shield were heels, they would have had to put the likes of Big Show in the main event and with all due respect to him he's not a main eventer anymore. Maybe Sheamus would have been able to fill in. The WWE roster is in a weird place right now. It's actually pretty deep in terms of how much talent they have, but when you look at the top of the card there are reasons for concern. If the split happens, it will likely happen towards the end of the year with Ambrose & Rollins going heel while Reigns gets the big push heading into the Royal Rumble as well as WrestleMania. Then again, if they keep them all faces for another year or longer that would be fine too. They're great performers that will make it work.
