WWE: 10 Reasons Daniel Bryan's Yes Movement Is Dead
4. The Feud With Kane
No matter what people think of him, there is clearly a few reasons why Kane hasn't won the WWE Championship in sixteen years. Those reasons aren't up for debate, but the fact he hasn't won the belt since 1998 tells you he isn't going to be winning it any time soon. So why on Earth did the WWE deem that their new champion - arguably the top guy in the company - would be a good fit for Kane? Did anyone really believe that he would dethrone Bryan? In essence, that is the reason why the feud was such a failure - not that Kane wasn't incapable of putting Bryan over as a legitimate champion, it's just that there was never any danger of Bryan dropping the belt. And that produces stale matches with predictable outcomes, which ultimately produces a poor, stale champion. It's a shame for Bryan that it came to this, and it's an even bigger shame it was rolled out over a period of months, instead of weeks. But feuding with Kane was one of the biggest nails in the coffin of the Yes Movement.
