WWE: 10 Reasons Daniel Bryan's Yes Movement Is Dead
3. His Neck Injury
Let's not avoid the inevitable here; if Daniel Bryan hadn't required neck surgery, there's every possibility that the Yes Movement could well have been saved. Sure, there have been some appalling booking decisions which left the whole thing on life support, but the injury to Bryan was like effectively switching off the machine on Bryan's momentum. The big worry is how long it is taking him to return, and the longer he goes without competing or even being remotely active, the worse Bryan will be when he returns. And in all fairness, there's a real danger Daniel Bryan will not return as the same man. Clearly that injury has been brought around by his unique style, with him willing to put his body on the line without a second thought for his own safety. If there is even the slightest worry in Bryan's mind that he could trigger another injury, you won't see the same Daniel Bryan. And that's a real hammer blow for his popularity, as well as his technical ability.
