WWE: 10 Reasons Hulk Hogan Should Be Celebrated At Wrestlemania 30

3. WrestleMania

This has been touched on several times now but it€™s because the man is intrinsically linked to the biggest wrestling event that will ever exist. He appeared in the main event of the first nine WrestleMania€™s and helped build it into what it is today. That alone means that, if he does return for the big one this year, he should be celebrated because it might not exist without him. His first match helped garner untold mainstream media attention. He then went on to fight King Kong Bundy and Andre in quick succession before a great match against Randy Savage at WrestleMania V and a good, crowd-pleasing loss to Warrior a year later. His match with Sgt. Slaughter might not have been great but, bloody hell, it was controversial. Then there was the iconic Rock match before his final appearance to date, fittingly, against Mr McMahon in a Street Fight, which he won. For a PPV that will be a thirty year celebration, its chief flag-bearer is clearly needed.
