WWE: 10 Reasons John Cena Is At A Career Low Point Right Now

9. WWE Are Risking Ruining Cena's Appeal

This is risky ground for the WWE to operate on with the unique Cena / Wyatt dynamics and the unproven effect the story could have. Cena's status and perception are imperative to his ability in remaining the number one merchandise seller. If he keeps on being booked in his current confused role then logic says his sales will go down. No one will step up to replace those sales, the money will just stop coming in. It is almost as if WWE has done a double turn in Cena and Wyatt, but no way is Bray ever going to match John's merchandise sales. Cena needs to be superman, that's why kids love him, but against Bray Wyatt he is neither here nor there as a character. From February to June, four months, we have seen Cena coming off as the boo boy to Wyatt's cult hero. How can Cena's appeal to the essential younger audience not have been hurt in all of this?
