WWE: 10 Reasons A Live Smackdown Will Be Infinitely More Interesting

5. Higher Ratings

Wwf Smackdown Smackdown ratings have been steady for the past few months€”decent but not great, hovering around or close to 3 million viewers. You could easily argue that the poor ratings are in part because the results of the show are known before the show airs. No need to watch the show if you already know what happened. Though in Smackdown's defense we continue to watch Cena matches and we all know how those usually end. When the show has had live specials in the past they tend to have a slight bump in the ratings. People generally tune in to watch live WWE programming. Its why NXT Arrival was such a huge hit. Without the fear of internet sites reporting results beforehand, Smackdown is bound to increase its viewership. Some people even read spoilers in an effort to decide if they will watch the show at all. Without that as an option that may just tune it to see what WWE has to offer.
