4. It's A Great Way To Get More Superstars Involved
We all know that a lot of superstars (we're looking at you JTG) were unhappy when the match was moved from Wrestlemania because a big pay-day was lost. Also, it meant we as fans would often lose the opportunity to cheer on some of our favourite stars (we're not all fans of Cena and Orton you know!). Since moving the match to its own PPV though, the large participant matches have been, well, awful. 2011 saw Kane, Big Show, Santino and Kofi go against The Corre to little audience response, 2012 saw the insipid Team Johnny go against Team Teddy and the nearest we even got to a large match last year for the six-man tag of The Shield against Orton, Sheamus and Big Show (meaning it was a way to get more big names on the card as opposed to mid-carders). What with more and more returning legends taking top spots from year-round hard workers, the mid-card stars are getting squeezed out even more. It's a shame because a Wrestlemania crowd wants to opportunity to see all levels of superstar but that just doesn't happen anymore and even the pre-shows have become tag team matches or forgettable one on ones.
