9. Homogenized In-Ring Product

r-truth Speaking of that stupid rollup finish, have you noticed how interchangeable it's become? Take just about any midcard geeks on the show and you can bet that 50% of the time they'll be using that idiotic rollup finish. But it's not just that the finishes suck, it's that all the new recruits to the main roster have to be broken down and reconstructed by the developmental system until they're part of the army of clones that is WWE RAW every Monday. Like really, once the match starts, what's the difference between The Miz, or his mini-me Alex Riley, or Wade Barrett, or Curtis Axel, or R-Truth? Besides some of them using different neckbreaker variations than the others, they're all essentially cookie-cutter "WWE Superstars" who can be interchangeably plugged into the same matches over and over, and that's how Vince wants it. In the era of churning out TV content for rights fees, the company wants a safe and predictable product that they can slot into Main Event or Superstars or any of their identical hour-long borefests without having to actually plot out character motivations or storylines. Instead, the shows are written like Madlibs, with this week's big feud on being contested between and as they try to get back in the hunt for ! And speaking of those titles...
