WWE: 10 Reasons To Hate Raw and Smackdown

6. BS Segments

If anyone viewed RAW a couple of weeks back you would have seen Big Show and Sheamus having a title debate for their up and coming title match at Hell in a Cell. I call BS on segments like this. Why, out of the blue, has production thought to have two guys talking about what they hope to achieve in the match when it is quite simply pin the other guy! It's just stupid and I call shenanigans. The talent know it's BS, the announcers know it's BS and more importantly the viewers know it's BS. Nothing is gained form it for either man and definitely not for the audience. I read an article recently that put the idea forward for having Weigh-ins before each world title bout on the RAW before the PPV. This is something true fighting promoters have been doing forever to drive up anticipation. You get the guys looking as big and manly as possible, give a few cheap shots verbally and more often than not the whole thing becomes one massive brawl. Now that I could watch and invest in! Especially if the build up to the match itself is written properly and allows viewers the chance to get behind there man. So enough of the BS segments that make no sense, especially four weeks before the event itself, its just plain stupid.
