9. A Match With Sting
Many have assumed since Wrestlemania 30 that an Undertaker vs. Sting match would be out of the question. There's no streak, and Sting didn't appear in vignettes during the event or on Raw the following night, and there's been little to no indication of a matchup, or even plans for one. However, the fact that the streak has now been conquered only goes to heighten the meaning of this match. In a streak-intact world, Sting would've come in to the WWE and challenged The Undertaker to a match at Wrestlemania 31, and given how it would be common knowledge that this would be Sting's last match before retiring, the match would be predictable as hell. Undertaker likely wouldn't sacrifice the sacred streak to someone who is on his way out, and he'd go on to fight another day. In a non-streak world, it's all to play for. Both men are at an age where they could consider retirement, and a match between the two would have the utmost meaning and importance for both characters. This is as relevant as a match between the two would ever have been, given that a likely career vs. career stipulation would be added, forcing the loser to retire. Two of the greatest competitors to ever grace the squared circle, finally facing off in a match that would be remembered forever, with lasting implications on the wrestling world. It wouldn't be a given that Sting would lose, and with Undertaker himself struggling in recent years, the result would be incredibly hard to call. After all, Sting would be perfectly capable of working with many of the current roster, with similar-sized guys like Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk all being brilliant workers that could carry Sting through a great match. Undertaker vs. Sting would end up as the most unpredictable Wrestlemania match for The Deadman in years, and given how intense both characters are, the buildup could be truly phenomenal. Supernatural mind games, intense promos, and a real once-in-a-lifetime end game, it's one of the last dream matches in professional wrestling, and here's hoping it becomes a reality soon.
