WWE: 10 Satisfying Moments When Heels Were Taken Down

1. Mick Foley vs. The Rock - Raw 1999

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60pU-fAcLdk There are so many stories in wrestling that have been told about a guy that wasn't supposed to be "the man" that found a way to get there. That story that may have been told the best involved Mick Foley in early 1999 when he defeated The Rock for the WWE Title. It's a match where people don't even remember the actual match. Instead, it was about the moment. It was also about one of the loudest crowd reactions that there's ever been. That's the culmination of a great story because when you heard the fans explode for the finish it meant that the storyline was an absolute winner. Things really broke down with The Rock's corporation heel buddies at ringside while Foley (as Mankind) had DX to watch is back. Then the glass broke. Yep, it was time for Steve Austin again. There was madness in the arena as Austin walked down to the ring, hit Rock in the head with a steel chair, put Mankind on top of him and he covered for the win. It wasn't about one guy. It was about several guys overcoming the powers of the evil Mr. McMahon, The Rock and their allies. That's why it's the most satisfying moment when the most powerful heel of them all, Vince McMahon, was taken down.
