WWE: 10 Most Shocking Unmaskings

9. Edge & Christian As Los Conquistadors

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhn-0rq5INo This was a funny storyline in the fall of 2000 when Edge & Christian along with the Hardy Boys and Dudley Boys were dominating the tag team division scene in WWE. Since WWE had done dozens of E&C vs. Hardys matches up to this point, they needed to freshen it up a bit. All of it led to "Los Conquistadors" getting a tag title shot at The Hardy Boys at No Mercy in October 2000. Los Conquistadors were a jobber tag team that WWE used in the late 1980s. Then they returned in 2000 after Mick Foley said that Edge & Christian couldn't get any more title shots against the Hardys. At No Mercy, Los Conquistadors won the tag titles after the Hardys tried to unmask them only to reveal another mask underneath. That led to an Unprettier (Christian's finisher) and a tag title win. The next night on Raw, Edge & Christian were ready to face Los Conquistadors for the tag titles, but when the match actually took place, it was the Hardy Boys in the outfits. They won the match and commissioner Mick Foley deemed them as the tag team champions. All of it might sound pretty confusing, but when looking back at the angle now it really was a lot of fun. As Edge once said to Christian: "Mask confusion rules!"
