WWE: 10 Steps To Booking Sting For WrestleMania 30 (And Beyond)

10. The Vignettes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enMMcYvvu_o Great storytelling starts with a great introduction. Video vignettes have often been used to great effect in the WWE when getting a new star over. Think back to Chris Jericho's cryptic video messages that built excitement for his comebacks. Also consider the Wyatt family videos from 2013, they worked brilliantly in establishing Bray and Co as stars. Sting needs to come in with the same kind of buildup. As a major star who may not be known to some of the audience, WWE need to produce videos to build up the magnitude of his debut and educate fans on his character. I would start off with cryptic videos that tease Sting coming in, using imagery to hint at his near arrival. A baseball bat in a dark room perhaps, or a caged scorpion sneaking out of the bars. As time went on WWE should be more explicit. A final vignette should in fact reveal Sting coming in, detailing some of his character and history. Fans need to know all about this man and his epic legacy. I would book a series of videos throughout the final Raw before his debut to highlight his greatest career moments. Thus WWE have established an intriguing and important character joining the story. The final video would reveal Sting would be at Wresltemania 30 ... not giving away why.
