WWE: 10 Most Successful Elimination Chamber Competitors Ever
7. Shawn Michaels
The 'Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels won the inaugural Elimination Chamber match at Survivor Series 2002 and in the process captured bitter rival Triple H's World Heavyweight Championship. Michaels went on to compete in a total of four Chamber matches, eliminating a total of three superstars. In the inaugural Chamber match, Michaels was the last entrant in the match and combined with Triple H and Chris Jericho to eliminate Kane, although it was Jericho who scored the pinfall. Michaels then pinned Jericho after hitting Sweet Chin Music on him, whilst Y2J had Triple H in the Walls of Jericho. This left Michaels and Triple H as the last two men, the pair who had fought in a non sanctioned street fight at Summerslam three months prior. After nine minutes one on one action, Michaels was able to hit the superkick to win the World Heavyweight title, nearly five years since he lost the WWE title at WrestleMania XIV. Michaels' three further appearances in Chamber matches would of course be unsuccessful as the focus of his character was no longer about winning titles, but putting over younger talent and the stars of the 21st century, before retiring in 2010.
