WWE: 10 Superstars Who Ended Up With Surprising Jobs After Wrestling

1. Maven, Bouncer, New York City Nightclub

Maven is best remembered as the rookie who drop kicked The Undertaker out of the Royal Rumble back in 2002. He won the first Tough Enough and showed some slightly promising signs of ability but ultimately fell short of making himself a major star in the WWE.

As of Autumn 2013, Maven is still in New York ... but far from this being with Vince's company, the 37 year old is in fact working as a bouncer at a NYC nightclub. This news was confirmed by the hugely respected MMA journalist Ariel Helwani back in September.

"Just walked by a bar that former Tough Enough winner Maven was bouncing. Told him the Rumble spot was awesome. He didn't seem pleased," Helwani tweeted.

He further revealed, "I swear. He seemed embarrassed someone recognized him."

Well, I guess you would be embarrassed if you had gone from facing Triple H for the world title in 2003 to mopping up drunks in 2013. Other wrestling fans have also come across Maven working at the club, confirming stories that he doesn't like to hear about his past. Despite Maven's disdain for hearing about The Undertaker spot, he has stated in old media interviews that he owes his life to the WWE. It was the Connecticut company who paid Maven through rehab back in 2012, helping him to beat issues with drug addiction.
